Terms of Service

1. Nature of Handmade Goods

By purchasing from Crafta, you acknowledge that you are buying a handmade item, not a factory-produced one.

  • Timber Variations: We use real timber (including Tasmanian Oak and Blackwood). Variations in grain pattern, colour tone, gum veins, and knots are natural features of the wood and are not considered faults.
  • Danish Cord: Our seating is hand-woven. Minor variations in the weave tension or cord colour are a sign of authentic hand-craftsmanship.
  • Wood Movement: Solid timber responds to its environment. Seasonal movement (slight expansion or shrinkage) due to temperature and humidity changes is normal and expected behaviour for solid wood.

2. Production Lead Times

All lead times are estimates based on our current workload.

While we aim to complete orders within our target timeframe (currently around 4 weeks), delays can occasionally occur due to material supply or workshop capacity. We will communicate any significant changes to your delivery date. A delay in production does not automatically entitle you to a cancellation or refund.

3. Shipping Quotes & Invoices

For interstate and regional orders, shipping costs are NOT included in the checkout price unless explicitly stated.

By placing an order, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for paying the separate shipping invoice provided by us after checkout.
  • If you choose not to pay the shipping quote, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order in full.

4. Product Accuracy

We do our best to ensure photos and descriptions are accurate. However, screen settings vary, and because timber is a natural material, the physical product may differ slightly in tone or figure from the images on our website.

5. Intended Use

Our furniture is designed and guaranteed for residential (domestic) use. While our pieces are durable, we do not provide warranties for commercial or industrial use unless specifically agreed upon in writing prior to purchase.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
